royal burgh of Wick where we are conveniently situated for
exploring the beautiful county of Caithness, the
northernmost county of Scotland.
We offer quality, comfortable Bed & Breakfast accommodation
for a maximum of 6 guests in en-suite, double, family, twin
or king sized rooms. All rooms have tea and coffee making
facilities, FreeView boxes or TV and DVD players and fully controllable central heating.
We are now established at Bed and Breakfast and have
made every effort to prepare our rooms to provide you with a
comfortable stay during your time with us

town where you will find a range of restaurants, pubs and
hotels to cater for your meals

Hazelrigg was built in 1912 when Wick was the Herring Capital of Europe. A large
Victorian style house with ornate period features situated in a quiet
residential area of Wick. Your hostess is Hazel also of Victorian vintage her
mission is to make your stay in Wick an experience you will never forget.
About the Royal Burgh of Wick
Wick - from Norse origin meaning creek or bay - is the most northerly county
town in mainland Britain. The town has a population of around 8 000 and once was
the Herring Capital of Europe. There are numerous interesting places for you to
visit in and around Wick. The pictures that encompass this page show just a few

John o’Groats lies only 30 minutes from Wick. Ferries travel daily to the Orkney
Islands where guided tours are available to take you to all of the famous
landmarks that these islands are renowned for - such as Skara Brae, Kirkwall
Cathedral, the Italian Chapel and the Churchill Barriers. Alternatively if you
wish to take your own transport roll on, roll off ferries are available at Gills
or Scrabster.
